TRADE SIGNALS ON PTF

Hello folks..I am new to this software and still getting the hang of it. I couldn't understand why the software generates trade signals even when the basics of pairs trading as explained in the guidelines are not met. For eg: a trade signal is generated even when the co-relation between two stocks are in the negative !! and no oscillation on the ratio chart. Are these true signals ?? Someone please throw some light on this..cheers
