Issues with installing PTF

Postby Dael on Fri Jul 16, 2010 11:05 am

Thanks for your last PDF guide about installing SQL Server Express. But, anyway, I've got a problem.

I have Pentium D 3.4 GHz, 2 Gb RAM. Windows 7 Ultimate 32-bit. Downloaded SQL Server Express 2008 SP1 and PairTrade Finder 2.89.
There were no problems while installing SQL, all is strictly to the guide step by step.

After installing PTF I start PTF and see this (attach 1). Create button is grayed so I can't press it as it refers in guide.

OK I press on Set and see this (attach 2). It's Russian interface on my PC, so error says "It was unable to open database 'pairTradeFinder'. It was unable to login. Error of user login 'my_domain\my_user' "

OK, I figured out that it's about database creation issues, so I've downloaded SQL Server 2008 Management Studio to manage SQL Server. I've added new database with exact name 'pairTradeFinder' (see attach 3).

It's helped a little, so I could press Set button in PTF with no errors. But after pressing OK button in PTF setup window (that one as in attach 1), I had massive critical SQL error (attach 4).

P.S. I'm an administrator on my PC.

Any suggestions?

Huh, a whole month has gone, even more. And there's zero activity here, with no users or admins.
I guess this illustrates activity of the service itself.
It's pity to notice that 'coz I want to try it.
